Don Schon fonds [textual record]. -- 1969-1972.

Donald (Don) Orville Lindsay Schon was born to Ludwig Andreas and Sarah (nee Riley) Schon in Irma, Alberta in 1932. Schon's paternal grandparents were born in Germany. Later, he married Dorothy Elaine Alder. Schon operated a mill on Brenton Page Road, near Ladysmith, for many years. In 1982, Schon slipped from a boomstick, had a cardiac arrest and drowned. Schon was active in the Nanaimo Historical and Museum Societies.

Fonds consists of papers related to Schon's efforts to preserve Piper's Lagoon from development by Morningside Beach Properties (Deane Finlayson) and includes correspondence, petitions, reports, notes and newspaper clippings.

Title based on the contents of the fonds.
Records were donated by Schon's daughter Diane Louise Schon.
