David Taylor was born in 1861 in Scotland. He died on April 8th, 1913 at the age of 52. Taylor married Janet Brown on September 30th, 1895 in the Newcastle Townsite. Janet Taylor (nee Brown) was born in 1861 in Scotland, and passed away October 2nd, 1925. In 1920, Janet Taylor, built the T & B Apartments at 413-417 Fitzwilliam Street after David Taylor died. Taylor had numerous land holdings in and about Nanaimo and New Westminster.
Materials were in the custody of Taylor's grandnephew Bob McDougall who donated them to the Nanaimo Community Archives in 1999.
