Finding Aids

A finding aid contains detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. It is used by researchers to determine whether information within a collection is relevant to their research.

Bertha Roberts (nee Aikman) was a violinist with the Nanaimo Symphony Orchestra and other local groups. She lived with husband Leonard, a millworker at Harmac, at 451 Fourth Street. The family later lived in Brechin.

Collection consists of programmes for masses at the Haliburton Street Methodist Church where Roberts played violin, a notebook of handwritten instructions on playing the violin and photographs of the Roberts family.
