Finding Aids

A finding aid contains detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. It is used by researchers to determine whether information within a collection is relevant to their research.

Arthur Hyde Chambers was a commercial photographer active in Northfield, Nanoose Bay, Victoria and Nanaimo, B.C.

Items were found in the attic storage area of the Nanaimo Museum with no identification marks and are assumed to be part of the Museum collection.

Fonds consists of four diplomas awarded to A.H. Chambers by the Wellington District Horticultural, Agricultural and Industrial Society at their first annual exhibition (1895). Also includes a contract for work on St. Luke's Church in Northfield (1892) and a letter of reference from Reverend C.E. Cooper, Rector of the Anglican Church (1901).
