Finding Aids

A finding aid contains detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. It is used by researchers to determine whether information within a collection is relevant to their research.

Anna Sedola arrived in Nanaimo, via New York, from Italy in 1923. She married Antonio Specogna on September 26, 1923. The Specognas lived in the Jinglepot area. Anna died in 1967 at the age of 65. Antonio died in 1975 at the age of 83. The Specogna home was moved across the road and rehabilitated as part of a heritage and park site when Third Street was re-aligned.

Material was given to City staff during the development of the heritage site and was subsequently donated to the Archives.

Fonds consists of an Italian passport for Anna Sedola issued in 1923. A small photograph is attached to the passport.
