Finding Aids

A finding aid contains detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. It is used by researchers to determine whether information within a collection is relevant to their research.

Allan Clifford Galloway was born in 1918 in Cedar, BC. He operated a farm (West 26 acres of Section 3, Range 1, Cedar Land District) from 1934 to 1966. At first, he did mixed farming but later focused on milk production. Galloway was instrumental in starting the mid-island Farmer's Union.

Material was donated by Galloway's widow, Hazel.

Collection consists of assorted receipts and miscellaneous items related to Galloway's life as a farmer. Includes land tax assessment notices, receipts for goods and services and a milk quality analysis record for Galloway milk.
