        Seiriol Williams was born on June 21, 1904 in Nanaimo B.C. and grew up in the family home at 224 Milton Street. He received his education at Nanaimo, at Hastings College in Nebraska and at Harvard Medical School and interned at Montreal General Hospital. Williams met Wilma Kibben at Hastings College and they were married at Ormstown Quebec in 1935. They had four children John, Kibben, David and Nancy. Doctor Williams practised medicine in Nanaimo until he joined the Royal Canadian Army during WWII. Upon discharge, he settled in Vancouver and specialized in general surgery. He retired to Nanaimo in 1976. Williams was active in community organizations including the Boy Scouts, the Nanaimo Yacht Club (Fleet Surgeon), the Nanaimo Historical Society (President), the Nanaimo Museum, the Nanaimo Horticultural Society and the Nanaimo Field Naturalists. Williams is best remembered for helping to establish Beach Estates Park, a municipal wildflower sanctuary built partly on the site of Williams' property on Thetis Place. Wilma Williams passed away in 1975 and Seiriol then married Ena Smith in 1976. Seiriol Williams died on October 31, 1986.
        Materials were donated by Seirial Williams' son David in 2001.
