        Russell Inkster was a coroner and a partner in the building supply firm, Inkster and Roberts. Inkster was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club, and the United Church choir. He served as a lay preacher in the United Church and was president of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Society.
        Materials were donated to the Nanaimo Museum in an undocumented transaction and transferred to the Nanaimo Community Archives in 1993.
        Fonds consists of three scrapbooks of clippings and photographs of Inkster's career as chairman of the hospital board and as Coroner. Scrapbooks also include numerous clippings concerning accidents. Also includes a certificate of recognition granted to Russell Inkster from the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (1961).
