Pharmacy Prescription Register collection

Pharmacy Prescription Register collection [textual record]. -- 1914 -1929.
2 v.

The registers were donated by L. Schopp of the Nanaimo Pharmacy in 1980. It is likely they belonged to this pharmacy or its predecessor but this cannot be confirmed.
Registers were donated to the Nanaimo District Museum in an undocumented transaction, and transferred to the Nanaimo Community Archives in 1993.
Collection consists of two prescription registers of an unidentified pharmacy. Each prescription has been stamped with a consecutive number, and then glued into the registers in numerical order from #65290 to #92183. Dates are noted occasionally, but are usually absent. Prescriptions are signed by area doctors from Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach, including Dr. W.F. Drysdale and Dr. T.J. McPhee. Personal names of patients are usually noted on the prescriptions.
Title based on the contents of the collection.
        Provenance unknown.
Both volumes are in very fragile condition, with loose spine, brittle paper and torn leather covers.
Extreme care must be used when handling.
