        The Nanaimo Creamery Association was formed in 1903. In August of the same year, a building was erected at 625 Pine Street. Joseph Randle was the first president. The association and its assets were liquidated August 1,1953. After liquidation, remaining assets were distributed to members. There may have been a connection with the Farmer's Cooperative Association.
        Records were donated to the Nanaimo District Museum in an undocumented transaction and transferred to the Nanaimo Community Archives in 1993.
        Fonds consists of the records of the Nanaimo Creamery Association and is arranged in the following series: 1) Bylaws; 2) Minutes; 3) Financial records; 4) Correspondence and 5) Miscellaneous.

        Series consists of the financial records of the Nanaimo Creamery association and includes a shareholder register and record of dividends (1938-1952), liquidation files, cash book (1941-1950), balance sheets, cancelled cheques and a receipt for property tax.

        Series consists of miscellaneous records of the Nanaimo Creamery Association including a quit claim deed from the Farmers Co-operative Association to the Nanaimo Creamery Association, a sewerage agreement between the City of Nanaimo and the Creamery, blank stationary, butter wrapping paper, a plan of the Creamery site, a resolution regarding banking procedures and a photograph of creamery workers.
