        The Nanaimo and District White Cane Club, an affiliate of the Canadian Council of the Blind, was organized to foster a bond of union among the blind, to provide prompt and united advocacy action and to co-operate with other organizations on behalf of the blind. The group organized social events for its members and advocated for improved access for the blind.
        Material was donated by Stacey who acquired it when his mother-in-law, Rita Smith (club secretary) died.
        Fonds consists of the constitution, certificate of membership in the Canadian Council of the Blind, newspaper clippings, and blind games manuals.
