        Established in 1943 in Cedar, Raymond Pincott, Secretary, called the organization "probably the first actual effort made on this Island to organize a farmers' union along general union lines." The union's goal was to organize all farmers, including representatives of all types of agriculture. Other directors were Harold Adshead, Don Wilson, Gordon Louden, Fred Thatcher, E. Greenway, Allan Galloway, V. Hawkins and Barbara Wallace.
        Records were given by Barbara Wallace to Alan and Hazel Galloway who donated them to the Nanaimo Museum in an undocumented transaction. In 1993, the records were transferred to the Nanaimo Community Archives. Fonds consists of printed circulars including constitution and bylaws and notices to members.
