        The Canadian Western Fuel Company First Aid and Mine Rescue Association held its first meeting on November 2, 1911. Its general purpose was to provide first aid, mine rescue and ambulance training to mine workers. The Association also hosted numerous socials. There is an affiliation with the St. John's Ambulance Association. The first Executive Committee consisted of the following people: Chairman, M.W. Garmen; Secretary Treasurer, John Quinn; Honourable Chairman, T.R Stockett; Honourable Vice Chairman, M.T. Graham; Alex Coombs, Alex Rowan and James Little.
        Fonds consists of records created by the Canadian Western Fuel Company First Aid and Mine Rescue Association and is arranged in the following series: 1) Minutes; 2) Financial Records; 3) Membership Records; 4) Miscellaneous.
