• License Fees do not apply to private research or study use, for use in theses or student projects, local newspapers, community cable or TV news broadcasts.

• The City of Nanaimo and the Nanaimo Museum are exempt from license fees.  Groups using images from their own collections stored at the Archives are also exempt.
